Discussion of Chromatogram:
This is an industry standard method to show the peak shape and efficiency of any column for hard to separate
antidepressants. The high efficiency of this column as shown in the Amitryptiline peak is an indication that this
column is an excellent choice for many difficult to separate basic drugs. With optimization of buffer and organic
solvents the peak shape and efficiency could easily be further improved and peaks two and three could be base line
resolved.
