Retention Time Maps for Cogent Columns
Cogent HPLC Columns are very easy to use and make it easy to find a suitable separation method using the
MicroSolv "Method Development Guides". Each stationary phase has a unique "Guide" that shows the separation of three
classes of compounds (Acids, Neutrals and Bases) in standard test mixtures. Each analyte in a test mixture has a
different Octanol-Water Partition Coefficient (log P) to show a range of compound retention times and how they will
retain on the column; at three different pHs.
If you compare the compound classes (acid, neutral or base) and the relative log P of your compounds with one of the
compounds found in a retention map, you will be able to predict the retention times of your samples on the same
Cogent HPLC Column.

Cogent UDC Cholesterol
With patented Silica Hydrides, this extremely stable phase can perform normal and reverse phase
separations without requiring dedication to a technique.
HPS C18
Base deactivated, fully endcapped, ultra low metals contents makes this one of the highest efficiency
products available.
HPSCyano
Cyano is often the first choice of many experienced chromatographers for hard to separate compounds.
hQ C8
Similar to hQ C18, this product is even lower in hydrophobicity and offers much lower carbon
loading then other products. Excellent for slightly polar acidic compounds.
