Can Your HPLC Column Do This? Selectivity Comparison in Aqueous Reverse Phase of Neutrals on Bonded and Un-Bonded Phases Page 24 We have seen that both the bare and bonded TYPE-C phases can exhibit reverse phase responses. In the next three slides we will compare the aqueous reverse phase response of both bare TYPE-C Silica and Cogent UDC-Cholesterol with TYPE-C for target neutral, acid and basic compounds. These analyses are performed at a pH to elicit a reverse phase response.
When using identical eluents and column sizes plus plotting on the same time scale,
it can be seen that Bare TYPE-C Silica and Cogent UDC-Cholesterol have different
selectivities for these standards, yet both give sharp symmetrical peaks in reverse
phase mode.
