Can Your HPLC Column Do This? Using 100% Aqueous on pH Stable Cogent Bidentate C18 with TYPE-C Silica Page 29 Using 100 % Aqueous on pH Stable Cogent Bidentate C18, as shown in this slide, is a selection of high polar acids and bases analyzed with a 100% aqueous buffer on the Cogent Bidentate C18. The resolution is near baseline for all components as compared to the inferior resolution on Cogent UDC-Cholesterol.
This shows the importance of choice of bonded phase as well as type of silica.
These results were consistent from the first injection after duplicates were
achieved after equilibration to over 3 hours later. By comparison other traditional
C18 type A or type B silica columns could show retention time reduction and band
broadening within 30 to 60 minutes.
