Cogent NP Amino™ is a versatile normal phase and HILIC stationary phase designed for the separation of highly polar compounds that are often difficult to retain using traditional reversed-phase methods. Manufactured on ultra-high purity silica with a propyl amino bonded phase and supplied without endcapping, this chemistry provides excellent selectivity for carbohydrates, sugars, organic acids, and other polar analytes. The stationary phase is commonly used as an alternative for USP L8 methods and is suitable for both Normal Phase and HILIC applications.
68140-10P-2 is a UHPLC column packed with 1.8 µm NP Amino™ particles featuring a 100 Å pore size in a 2.1 mm ID x 100 mm format. This popular column configuration combines high efficiency, reduced solvent consumption, and excellent suitability for LC-MS applications. The 100 mm length provides greater resolving power and peak capacity than shorter 50 mm columns, while the sub-2 µm particle technology delivers exceptional chromatographic performance. Typical operating flow rates are approximately 0.2–0.4 mL/min. Because of the low flow rates required by 2.1 mm ID columns, any HPLC system used with this column must be capable of precise and reproducible low-flow operation.
This column is specifically designed for high-pressure UHPLC operation and provides optimum performance when used on UHPLC systems capable of handling the elevated pressures generated by 1.8 µm particles. It is particularly effective for sugars, carbohydrates, negatively charged compounds, organic acids, and compounds containing carboxylic acid functionality. As with all amino phases, this column is suitable for both Normal Phase and HILIC applications.
