How to Handle Cogent Catalog 17 Requests in SFDC - INTERNAL ONLYARCHIVED

Below are steps to take when requesting a Cogent Catalog 17 to be sent when a request is made via Internet/Email/Phone.
1. A Request is made
2. Enter/Update contact record in SFDC
3. Check off Shipping Address was confirmed in SFDC
4. Check off Date Cogent Catalog 17 Sent in SFDC
· Note Check this off even though it has not been physically sent. This must be done at time of request.
5. Create Opportunity in SFDC under the Contact:
· using the Subject Line Cogent Catalog Request – (name of contact)
· Add contact name in the comment field
· Change Opportunity owner to proper Sales Rep checking off the box to notify them

6. Create Task under opportunity to Customer Care (for now) to send the catalog using this subject line: Sent Cogent Cat 17
7. Once the catalog has been physically sent the task will be completed
8. There will be a follow up task for the Sales Person (opportunity owner) to follow up to make sure the catalog was received and for introduction. This task will be created by the person who completed the original task.
9. Sales will take it from here to make more touches as the Sales Manager Directs.
Sales are encouraged to send out catalogs to their customers who have not received or requested one based on the initial set criteria. Please be sure to confirm mailing addresses. Follow the steps below which replace the opportunity with a Campaign in SFDC.
1. Enter/Update contact record in SFDC

4. Create Task under the Campaign name Cogent Cat 17 to Customer Care (for now) to send the catalog using this subject line: Sent Cogent Cat 17
