HPLC Column, RP Cyano, 3um, 2.1mm ID x 100mm Length, 100A. Cogent Brand. 1 EA.
Additional Information:
Cogent RP Cyano™ is a versatile reversed-phase HPLC stationary phase designed for the separation of polar and neutral compounds. Manufactured using a three-carbon ligand with a terminal cyano (CN) functional group bonded to ultra-high purity silica, this stationary phase provides selectivity distinct from traditional C18, C8, and phenyl phases. As a USP L10 equivalent phase, it is widely used for method replacement, method development, and applications requiring reduced hydrophobic retention, faster equilibration, and alternative selectivity.
68334-10P-2 is an HPLC column packed with 3 µm RP Cyano™ particles featuring a 100 Å pore size in a 2.1 mm ID x 100 mm format. This popular narrow-bore configuration combines enhanced chromatographic resolution with reduced solvent consumption and excellent compatibility with LC-MS instrumentation. The 100 mm length provides greater resolving power than shorter 50 mm columns, while the 3 µm particles provide greater efficiency and sharper peaks than comparable 5 µm columns. Typical operating flow rates are approximately 0.2–0.3 mL/min. Because of the low flow rates required by 2.1 mm ID columns, standard HPLC systems must be capable of precise and reproducible low-flow operation.
Often selected for polar and neutral compounds in reversed-phase HPLC and LC-MS methods, this Cyano phase typically provides shorter retention times and faster equilibration than non-modified silica columns. As one of the most popular RP Cyano™ formats, it is frequently used for USP L10 methods, pharmaceutical analyses, and LC-MS applications requiring increased resolution and alternative selectivity.
