Good for basic compounds | Alternate for USP® L10 | Use in RP or NP methods.
Useful for basic compounds in reversed phase (RP), HPLC when different selectivity from C8 and C18 columns is desired. Also used for normal phase (NP), HPLC as they are less retentive than un-modified silica phases and offer different selectivity from amino and diol columns. Due to faster equilibrium compared with other NP phases, they are often the choice for gradient NP methods.
A common use for cyano columns is to remove polar compounds from complex mixtures that also contain non-polar compounds.
Cogent Axis™ Cyano - One of our original brands and still in use today by many labs, this phase is made with 100A and high purity silica.
Cogent HPS™ Cyano - Made with base deactivated, 5um, silica, these columns are designed for great peak shapes.
Cogent NP™ Cyano - Made with world class silica and manufacturing techniques; these columns are packed and ready to be used in normal phase (NP) HPLC.
Cogent RP™ Cyano - Made with world class silica and manufacturing techniques, these columns are packed and ready to be used in reversed phase (RP) HPLC.
Cogent MicroBee Similars™ Cyano- Comparable to Waters µBondapak®, these Cyano columns are a great alternate for your USP methods.
NOTE: Our technical support team strongly recommends that the Cogent column filter, included with each column, be used with all HPLC columns whenever possible. Click HERE for details.
