Part of the Cogent™ Similars product line, it is manufactured on high-purity Type-B spherical silica with a fully endcapped octadecyl (C18) bonded phase. The silica surface characteristics closely resemble those of legacy Hypersil® and Spherisorb® columns, making it an excellent choice for USP L1 methods, method transfer projects, and replacement of discontinued C18 columns. 62318-10P-4 is a 100 mm x 4.0 mm ID analytical column packed with 3 µm, 150Å Hyper Similars C18 particles. The 3 µm particle size produces higher efficiency and sharper peaks than comparable 5 µm packings while maintaining compatibility with conventional HPLC systems. The 4.0 mm ID format is often selected when reproducing legacy methods developed on 4.0 mm ID columns and typically operates at approximately 0.8–1.5 mL/min.
