This Cogent RP C8™ Stationary Phase has been a premium value and used by HPLC laboratories for many years. It is double end capped (fully), with traditional bonding of an 8 (Octyl) carbon silane to the highest purity silica available, making this column ideal as an Alternate in USP Methods that use the L7 Classification.
With a 10 µm Particle, this column works well with higher flow rates and lower back pressures. Used for hydrophobic or neutral compounds in Reversed Phase, this Octyl Phase is excellent for long chain fatty acids. Expect less retention than with a C18 column.
This size column is in many older methods that are still in use today.
