Guard Column Cartridges, RP PFP, 10um, 100A. 4.0mm ID x 10mm Length. Cogent Brand. 5/PK.
Additional Info:
68022-PG2 Cogent RP PFP™ Guard Column Cartridges are designed to protect analytical HPLC columns from particulates and strongly retained contaminants that can degrade column performance and shorten lifespan. Packed with 10 µm Cogent RP PFP™ material, these guard cartridges provide matched selectivity for RP PFP analytical columns.
The packing material is fully double end‑capped and bonded via a four‑carbon linker to a benzene ring substituted with five fluorine atoms, utilizing high purity 100 Å silica. This ensures consistent chromatographic behavior and preserves method integrity when used inline with analytical columns.
Each cartridge is housed in a stainless steel tube with stainless steel frits pressed into PEEK frit caps, providing durability and compatibility with standard analytical HPLC systems.
4.0 mm ID × 10 mm Length – Analytical Column Protection
Designed for use with standard analytical column dimensions, these guard cartridges protect your column while maintaining performance.
Compatible with 3.0 mm, 4.0 mm, and 4.6 mm ID columns
Protects against particulate contamination and matrix buildup
Extends analytical column lifetime and maintains performance
✅ Recommended for all analytical RP PFP column workflows
Flow Rate & System Requirements (4.0 mm ID, 10 µm)
⚠️ Designed for standard analytical HPLC systems
Typical flow rate range: ~0.8 – 1.5 mL/min
Very low backpressure due to 10 µm particle size
Minimal impact on system pressure
Fully compatible with UV and standard detectors
✅ Best Practice: Replace guard cartridges regularly to maintain optimal performance and protect analytical columns
✅ Required Hardware: Must be used with a guard column holder designed for analytical cartridges (see guard column holder product page for proper configuration and compatibility)
