Guard Column Cartridges, RP Phenyl Hexyl, 10um, 100A. 4.0mm ID x 10mm Length. Cogent Brand. 5/PK.

Additional Information:

Cogent RP Phenyl Hexyl Guard Column Cartridges are packed with the same phenyl hexyl (C6-Phenyl) bonded stationary phase used in Cogent RP Phenyl Hexyl analytical columns. Manufactured on high-purity silica with exhaustive double endcapping, these cartridges provide the same enhanced π-π interaction selectivity and aromatic compound retention characteristics as the analytical column while protecting it from contamination and premature fouling. The extended six-carbon linker positions the phenyl group farther from the silica surface, helping minimize silanol interactions and providing the unique selectivity associated with phenyl hexyl chemistry.

68039-PG2 is a guard column cartridge packed with 10 µm RP Phenyl Hexyl particles featuring a 100 Å pore size in a 4.0 mm ID x 10 mm format. Installed ahead of the analytical column, it captures particulates, strongly retained contaminants, and sample matrix components before they reach the primary analytical bed. This protection helps maintain chromatographic performance, improve reproducibility, and extend analytical column lifetime.

These guard cartridges are designed for use with 3.0 mm, 4.0 mm, and 4.6 mm ID Cogent RP Phenyl Hexyl analytical columns. Each cartridge is housed in a stainless steel tube with stainless steel frits pressed into durable PEEK frit caps for reliable operation in routine laboratory workflows. Performance is comparable to guard cartridges used with Restek® Phenyl Hexyl HPLC columns.
