This Cogent RP Cyano™, Ultra High Performance Liquid Chromatography (UHPLC) Stationary Phase has been a premium value and used by HPLC laboratories for years. Not end capped, it is manufactured with a 3 carbon ligand that has an attached terminal Cyano (Carbon & Nitrogen) group which includes a triple bond, and is bonded to the highest purity, small particle silica available making this Column ideal as an Alternate in USP Methods that use the L10 Classification.
The small, 1.8µm Particle Size will provide high efficiency even at high flow rates and the Peak Capacity is greater (but with higher back pressures) than larger Particle Size Columns. It is often used for polar or neutral compounds in Reversed Phase HPLC and you should expect shorter retention times and faster equilibration between runs than with a non-modified, Silica Column.
