This Cogent RP C8™ Wide Pore Stationary Phase has been a premium value and used by HPLC laboratories for many years. It is double end capped (fully), with traditional bonding of an 8 (Octyl) carbon silane to the highest purity silica available.
With a 5 µm Particle and 300A Pore Size, this column works well with higher flow rates and lower back pressures. Used for large hydrophobic or neutral compounds in Reversed Phase, this Octyl Phase is also excellent for long chain fatty acids, some proteins and peptides.
A popular column size, this short and narrow-bore column provides short run times but requires a pump that can precisely deliver, and a flow cell that made for, reduced flow rates with lower volumes. This column size is excellent for LCMS.
