Process HPLC Column, RP C12, 5um, 100A. 50mm ID x 50mm Length. Cogent Brand. 1 EA.
Additional Information:
Cogent RP C12™ Process HPLC Columns are designed for large-scale purification, process development, and production chromatography applications requiring unique selectivity, rapid equilibration, and reproducible retention. The stationary phase is manufactured using a rigid adamantane-shaped carbon silane ligand bonded to ultra-high purity silica and fully double end capped to minimize secondary interactions. This distinctive bonded phase chemistry provides chromatographic behavior between traditional C8 and C18 phases, making it especially useful for process separations where alternative selectivity can improve purification efficiency.
68512-P50-50 is packed with 5 µm RP C12™ particles featuring a 100 Å pore size in a 50 mm ID x 50 mm process-scale format. The large internal diameter provides exceptionally high sample loading capacity for purification and production workflows, while the shorter column length minimizes run times and solvent consumption. The RP C12™ phase typically provides less retention than C18 columns while offering greater retention than C8 columns for many hydrophobic compounds. In addition, the stationary phase is compatible with highly aqueous reversed-phase mobile phases, including 100% water, without phase collapse or loss of retention.
The 50 mm ID x 50 mm format is ideal for rapid process chromatography, purification screening, method scouting, and manufacturing-scale separations where throughput and productivity are priorities. Typical flow rates are approximately 80-140 mL/min depending on mobile phase composition, system pressure limitations, and application requirements. A specialized process HPLC system capable of high flow rates, large injection volumes, and substantial sample loading is required for optimum performance.
