Semi Prep HPLC Column, RP C12, 5um, 100A. 10mm ID x 50mm Length. Cogent Brand. 1 EA.
Additional Information:
Cogent RP C12™ Semi-Preparative HPLC Columns are designed for purification, method scale-up, and high-capacity separations requiring unique selectivity, rapid equilibration, and reproducible retention. The stationary phase is manufactured using a rigid adamantane-shaped carbon silane ligand bonded to ultra-high purity silica and fully double end capped to minimize secondary interactions. This distinctive bonded phase chemistry provides chromatographic behavior between traditional C8 and C18 phases, making it especially useful for purification workflows where alternative selectivity can improve compound isolation and recovery.
68512-SP50 is packed with 5 µm RP C12™ particles featuring a 100 Å pore size in a 10 mm ID x 50 mm length semi-preparative format. The larger internal diameter provides substantially increased sample loading capacity compared to analytical columns, while the shorter column length reduces run times and solvent consumption. The RP C12™ phase typically provides less retention than C18 columns while offering greater retention than C8 columns for many hydrophobic compounds. In addition, the stationary phase is compatible with highly aqueous reversed-phase mobile phases, including 100% water, without phase collapse or loss of retention.
The 10 mm ID x 50 mm format is ideal for rapid purification, method scouting, analytical-to-semi-preparative method scale-up, and fraction collection workflows. Typical flow rates are approximately 4-8 mL/min depending on mobile phase composition, system pressure limitations, and application requirements. A semi-preparative or preparative HPLC system capable of higher flow rates and larger injection volumes is recommended for optimum performance.
