Cogent RP Phenyl™ HPLC Columns are designed for reversed-phase separations where aromatic selectivity is beneficial. Manufactured using ultra-high purity silica bonded with a three-carbon linker and terminal phenyl functionality, this stationary phase is fully double end-capped to minimize secondary interactions and provide highly reproducible chromatographic performance. RP Phenyl™ is an excellent alternative for USP L11 methods and is commonly selected for both established methods and new method development.
68524-10P-4 is packed with 5 µm RP Phenyl™ particles featuring a 100 Å pore size in a 4.0 mm ID x 100 mm format. The 5 µm particle size provides excellent chromatographic efficiency while maintaining lower operating backpressures than smaller particle columns. The 100 mm column length offers an excellent balance between analysis speed and chromatographic resolution, making it ideal when a 50 mm column does not provide sufficient resolving power but shorter run times are still desired.
The 4.0 mm ID x 100 mm format is well suited for aromatic and structurally related compounds in reversed-phase HPLC. Typical flow rates are approximately 0.8-1.2 mL/min depending on mobile phase composition and application requirements.
