82561-SP150-3M is packed with 5 µm NP Silica™ Wide Pore particles in a 10 mm ID x 150 mm semi-preparative format. The 300 Å pore structure enhances mass transfer and analyte accessibility for larger molecules, while the 5 µm particle size supports semi-preparative flow rates with lower operating backpressures than smaller particles. The longer column length provides increased resolution and purification efficiency, while the larger internal diameter offers greater sample loading capacity than analytical columns.
The 10 mm ID x 150 mm format is well suited for HILIC and normal-phase chromatography involving proteins, peptides, lipids, and other large hydrophilic or polar compounds. Typical flow rates are approximately 3-8 mL/min depending on mobile phase composition, system pressure limitations, and application requirements. A semi-preparative or preparative HPLC system capable of supporting these flow rates and injection volumes is recommended for optimum performance.
