40031-PG4 Cogent UDA™ (WCX) Guard Column Starter Set provides everything needed to begin protecting analytical HPLC columns while maintaining the unique mixed‑mode selectivity of the UDA™ stationary phase.

This complete kit includes a stainless steel Cogent Guard Column Holder and five guard column cartridges, each packed with 4 µm, 100 Å Cogent UDA™ TYPE‑C™ silica. These cartridges utilize the same Undecanoic Acid ligand chemistry as analytical columns, ensuring consistent chromatographic behavior.

The UDA™ stationary phase features an 11‑carbon hydrophobic chain with a terminal carboxylic acid group, enabling:

• Reversed phase (hydrophobic interactions)

• Weak cation exchange (active at pH ≥ 6)

• HILIC (polar interaction capability)
