Overview

MICROSOLV’s AQ™ syringe filters are widely used for HPLC sample preparation, dissolution testing, and general laboratory filtration.

While the standard AQ™ syringe filter line is not supplied as sterile, customers who require sterile‑ready packaging have the option to request custom blister‑packed units that can undergo sterilization before use.

Sterility Options (Custom Orders Only)

Although AQ™ syringe filters are not sold as sterile by default, MICROSOLV can provide select filters in individual blister packs upon request. These blister‑packed filters can be sterilized using methods appropriate to the membrane type, offering additional flexibility for specialized workflows.

Available Sterilization Methods

Depending on the membrane material, custom‑packed syringe filters may be sterilizable by:

  • Autoclaving – Suitable for compatible membranes and housings
  • Radiation sterilization – Alternative method for membranes that cannot withstand steam sterilization

The correct sterilization technique will depend on the filter’s membrane chemistry and mechanical durability.
