While many columns share similar naming conventions for stationary phases—such as C18, C8, or phenyl—performance can vary significantly between brands. A column that works well in one method may behave differently in another.

At MICROSOLV, we believe our Cogent TYPE-C™ columns are fundamentally unique in their performance characteristics. For this reason, we do not position them as direct equivalents to other columns.

That said, Cogent TYPE-C™ columns can often deliver equal or superior results when the method is properly optimized and the column is selected based on the sample requirements.
