We offer two distinct types of autosampler vial screw caps designed specifically for situations where a septum is not required. These options support workflows such as storage, transport, or applications that do not involve repeated needle punctures.
1. Fully Closed Screw Caps (with Liners)
These caps are molded as solid, closed‑top caps with no septum opening.
Instead of a septum, they use a liner to provide a clean internal sealing surface.
These are ideal when you need a tighter seal or when samples do not require needle access.
- Examples: Catalog numbers 9502S‑09‑SR and 9502S‑09‑SR‑K.
2. Open‑Hole Screw Caps (No Septa Included)
These caps are standard polypropylene screw caps supplied without a septum installed, leaving the center opening unobstructed.
These are commonly used when the customer prefers to insert their own septa, or when the opening is required for attaching specialized fittings or adapters.
- Example: Catalog number 9502S‑00‑B‑M.
3. Which Should You Choose?
Choose closed‑top caps if you need a secure, sealed closure for storage or non‑injection workflows.- Choose open‑hole caps if you plan to customize the septa, use third‑party septa materials, or integrate tubing/fittings into the vial.
Both styles are compatible with standard 9‑425‑thread autosampler vials and maintain the same dimensional tolerances as our standard screw caps.
