Can I Backflush the Cogent Column Filter to Extend Its Service Life?
While the Cogent column filter is technically capable of being backflushed, we do not recommend this practice.
Backflushing may cause the internal filter element to shift or become dislodged, even if no visible clog is present. A misaligned filter can compromise its effectiveness, leading to inconsistent flow or reduced protection for your column.
For this reason, backflushing is not supported as a maintenance method for Cogent column filters.
