While the Cogent column filter is technically capable of being backflushed, we do not recommend this practice .
Backflushing may cause the internal filter element to shift or become dislodged, even if no visible clog is present. A misaligned filter can compromise its effectiveness, leading to inconsistent flow or reduced protection for your column.
For this reason, backflushing is not supported as a maintenance method for Cogent column filters.
