Why PP‑Faced (Not PTFE‑Faced)?

Traditional vial caps often use PTFE‑laminated septa; however, PFAS chemicals are used in the manufacture of many fluoropolymers, including PTFE. For PFAS analysis, industry guidance is to avoid fluoropolymer‑containing consumables wherever feasible to reduce the risk of false positives or elevated baselines. PP‑faced silicone septa remove the PTFE layer while maintaining excellent sealing and pierceability.
