Solvents and Chemicals to Avoid with PEEK Components
When using PEEK filters, tubing, and fittings, avoid exposure to the following substances.
- Nitric acid
- Sulfuric acid
- Halogenated acids (e.g., hydrofluoric, hydrobromic, hydroiodic)
- Pure halogenated gases
- Methylene chloride
- THF (Tetrahydrofuran)
- DMSO (Dimethyl sulfoxide)
Important Note:
Hydrochloric acid, standard HPLC-grade solvents, and most HPLC buffers are generally compatible with PEEK components in typical applications.
