Solvents and Chemicals to Avoid with PEEK Components

When using PEEK filters, tubing, and fittings, avoid exposure to the following substances.
  • Nitric acid
  • Sulfuric acid
  • Halogenated acids (e.g., hydrofluoric, hydrobromic, hydroiodic)
  • Pure halogenated gases
  • Methylene chloride
  • THF (Tetrahydrofuran)
  • DMSO (Dimethyl sulfoxide)

Important Note:
Hydrochloric acid, standard HPLC-grade solvents, and most HPLC buffers are generally compatible with PEEK components in typical applications.
