Proper assembly of the BASIK™ Mobile Phase Filter Degasser is essential to ensure effective filtration and degassing of HPLC solvents. The assembly consists of a glass membrane support, a 47 mm membrane filter, a glass funnel, and a securing clamp that holds the components together during operation.

Follow the steps below to correctly assemble the filtration unit.

Step 1: Install the Glass Membrane Support

The Glass Membrane Support serves as the foundation of the assembly and provides support for the filter membrane during filtration.

Step 2: Place the Membrane Filter

Position a 47 mm membrane filter disc directly on top of the glass membrane support.  The membrane should lie flat against the support surface to ensure proper sealing and uniform filtration.

Note: The membrane filter is placed between the support and the glass funnel.

Step 3: Position the Glass Funnel

Step 4: Secure the Assembly
