Removing a Jammed Ferrule

Occasionally, a ferrule may become lodged inside a column or another part of your HPLC system. If this happens, don’t worry—our ferrule removal tool is designed specifically for this situation.

How It Works:
The tool uses reverse-threading, opposite to a standard drill bit, allowing it to grip and extract the ferrule from the fitting.

How to Use:

  1. Position the tool against the ferrule.
  2. Turn counter-clockwise while applying gentle pressure until the ferrule loosens and is removed.
  3. If the ferrule does not release easily, lightly tap the tool with a hammer to help it bore into the ferrule for better grip.

This simple process ensures safe and efficient removal without damaging your system components.
