Snap caps are easy to apply to the vial and useful for HPLC samples that are not highly volatile. The snap top vial and snap cap system is a "snap ring" cut into the top side of a vial and a cap with "lugs' that grab under the snap ring and creates a downward pressure on the septa creating a good seal.
It is important to know that snap caps should be matched to a vial with the same system design including the thickness and roundness of the "snap ring" to prevent misalignment of the caps on the vial and subsequent sample evaporation. All snap caps offered by MicroSolv™ are compatible with all snap top vials we sell and are fully supported.
