Overview

This brief technical note describes the recommended storage temperature and conditions for Zero‑Flow Capillaries used in capillary electrophoresis (CE). These capillaries do not require controlled environmental conditions, refrigeration, or temperature‑specific handling.

Since their performance is not affected by storage temperature variations within normal laboratory ranges—and is independent of their inner diameter—users can simply keep them at standard room temperature. Many laboratories store them conveniently near their CE instrument for easy access.


Storage Temperature for Zero‑Flow Capillaries

Zero‑Flow Capillaries should be stored at room temperature (approximately 22°C) in a clean, dry location. Their storage requirements do not vary with the internal diameter of the capillary, and no refrigeration or temperature‑controlled environment is necessary.

In practice, many users tape the capillaries to the wall near their CE system for convenience and easy retrieval, as this environment is perfectly suitable for long‑term storage.
