Sealed, silanized autosampler vials can be stored indefinitely under proper conditions, with no practical shelf-life limitations. The silanized surface remains stable and effective as long as the packaging remains unopened and intact.
Sealed, silanized autosampler vials can be stored indefinitely under proper conditions, with no practical shelf-life limitations. The silanized surface remains stable and effective as long as the packaging remains unopened and intact.
⚠️ Once Opened: Handle with Care
After opening, the silanized surface becomes susceptible to particle adsorption, especially from:
- Cardboard fibers (from packaging materials)
- Airborne dust or contaminants
These particles can adhere to the treated surface, potentially compromising the vial’s performance—particularly in trace-level or sensitive analyses.
✅ Best Practices for Storage and Handling:
- Keep vials sealed in their original packaging until use.
- Avoid cardboard storage after opening—use clean, inert containers instead.
- Store in a clean, dry environment, away from direct sunlight and chemical vapors.
- Use gloves or forceps when handling to avoid contamination.
- Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory practices to minimize exposure time.
