Yes. We confirm that our PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy alkane), and FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) tubing products are fully compliant with the EU RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS 2) and its amendment (EU) 2015/863 (RoHS 3).
Regulatory Overview
The Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive aims to limit the use of specific hazardous materials in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) to protect human health and the environment. The original directive (RoHS 2) restricts six substances, while the 2015 amendment (RoHS 3) adds four phthalates to the list.
Our tubing products are manufactured using high-purity fluoropolymers and are free from all ten restricted substances listed in Annex II of the directive:
- Lead (Pb)
- Mercury (Hg)
- Cadmium (Cd)
- Hexavalent Chromium (Cr⁶⁺)
- Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB)
- Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE)
- Bis(2-Ethylhexyl) Phthalate (DEHP)
- Benzyl Butyl Phthalate (BBP)
- Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP)
- Diisobutyl Phthalate (DIBP)
Additional Compliance and Technical Notes
-
Material Purity: Our fluoropolymer tubing is manufactured under strict quality control to ensure chemical inertness, thermal stability, and low extractables, making it ideal for high-purity applications in analytical, pharmaceutical, and semiconductor environments.
-
RoHS Documentation: Formal RoHS compliance declarations and material safety data sheets (MSDS) are available upon request for regulatory audits or supplier qualification processes.
-
Applications: These tubing products are suitable for use in RoHS-regulated assemblies, including LC/MS systems, autosamplers, and other analytical instrumentation.
