The cutting blade on the Clean Cut90 Tubing Cutter is manufactured from high-carbon standard steel, selected for its balance of hardness, edge retention, and cost-effectiveness in precision tubing applications.
To ensure both user safety and blade longevity, each blade is individually wrapped in tin foil. This serves two key purposes:
- Corrosion Prevention: The tin foil acts as a moisture barrier, helping to prevent oxidation and rust formation during storage or periods of non-use.
- Safe Handling: The wrapping also protects users from accidental contact with the sharp edge during unpacking or setup.
While the blade is not coated or alloyed with specialty materials (e.g., tungsten carbide or ceramic), its performance is optimized for clean, burr-free cuts on a wide range of polymer and soft metal tubing.
Tip for Users:
For best results and extended blade life, store the cutter in a dry environment and avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or corrosive chemicals. If the blade shows signs of wear or corrosion, replacement blades are available and easy to install.
