Great "Starter" Columns for ANP | Polar & Non Polar Analytes | For Complex Mixtures | Wide Pore Available

These phases are moderately hydrophobic and for that reason are a good column to start with when scouting for compounds of unknown polarity. They will perform in Normal Phase (NP), Reversed Phase (RP) and Aqueous Normal Phase (ANP). These C8 columns are produced with two points of attachment to the 4um, 120A silica particle via direct silicon-carbon bonds. This makes them very unique and extremely stable even under harsh HPLC conditions producing excellent selectivity with efficient peaks.

The service life time of these columns far exceeds normal C8 column expectations. Also, the Bidentate C8™ is not end-capped, due the nature of the silica hydride surface with virtually no silanols.

Also made with TYPE-C™ silica, the Cogent C8 300™ has a C8 chain bonded directly to our 5um, 300A, TYPE-C™ silica with a silicon-carbon bond. Since there are direct bonds attaching the ligand, it does not hydrolyze in acidic conditions like standard columns.

Extremely low pH is possible with this wide pore column.
