Pharma‑Grade Syringe Filters for HPLC & Dissolution Testing

Pharma‑grade syringe filters are used for critical HPLC sample preparation and dissolution testing in laboratories operating under GLP, GMP, and regulated quality systems. These filters are designed to deliver consistent, reproducible filtration performance with low extractables and validated compliance, making them ideal for pharmaceutical and regulated analytical workflows.

Compared to general laboratory filters, AQ™ Pharma‑Grade syringe filters are manufactured with enhanced process controls, QC testing, and documented performance, helping reduce variability and protect chromatographic systems.

✅ Why Choose Pharma‑Grade Syringe Filters

  • No Initial Flush Required (Validated) Eliminates 200 µL or 20 µL discard volumes depending on format, saving time and preventing failed methods

  • Low Extractables Clean baseline performance for HPLC & UHPLC

  • Regulatory Compliance Designed to meet FDA CFR Title 21 and USP <788> requirements

  • Consistent Lot-to-Lot Performance Reduces variability in regulated workflows

  • Instrument Protection Minimizes particulate contamination to protect columns and detectors

How to Select the Right Syringe Filter

By Membrane Type

Choose based on sample composition and analyte sensitivity:

  • PVDF – Low protein binding, best for biological samples & mixed solvents

  • RC (Regenerated Cellulose) – Maximum recovery, very low adsorption for proteins & biomolecules

  • PP (Polypropylene) – Broad compatibility including acids, bases, aqueous & organic solvents

  • PTFE – Ideal for organic solvents

  • Hydrophilic PTFE – Mixed aqueous/organic compatibility

  • Nylon / PES – General-purpose filtration

By Pore Size

  • 0.45 µm → Sample clarification and prefiltration

  • 0.22 µm → Sterile filtration and fine particulate removal

By Filter Diameter

  • 25 mm → High-throughput, larger sample volumes

  • 13 mm → Routine workflows, moderate volumes

  • 4 mm → Micro-volume and LC‑MS applications (minimal sample loss)
